Arcade Basketball Game NBA Playgrounds Announced For Switch, PS4 and Xbox One

Saber Interactive has announced NBA Playgrounds, a new arcade style basketball game coming to PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.

Equipped with an official NBA license, the game will feature a large roster of high profile players, both active and retired. These include Steph Curry, Allen Iverson, James Harden, and Shaquille O'Neal. Players will compete in a high speed environment where flashy drunks and dribbles are emphasized.

NBA Playgrounds can be played solo or in multiplayer mode, either offline or online. The reveal trailer can be seen above.

Saber Interactive has experience working on Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Inversion, TimeShift, and is also currently assisting with the development of Quake Champions, a highly anticipated FPS title.

NBA Playgrounds will release in May 2017 for $20.
