The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Trailer Doesn’t Disappoint

Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto have been doing their share of hyping for the latest Legend of Zelda game, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Perhaps, moreso than usual, the company behind the Wii, Nintendo DS, and every gamer's childhood is talking up a Skyward Sword storm for a number of reasons.

Maybe the company knows Wii sales are dropping like a rock. Maybe it knows it needs to send the Wii off right. Maybe it knows they've got an Ace up their sleeve and it's a goddam Zelda game!

Everything I've seen of Skyward Sword points to it being the crossroads of everything people have loved in Zelda games in the past two decades: a cast of characters with emotions an drama like Ocarina of Time, colorful design and tons of exploration like in Wind Waker, and more mature overtones like in Twilight Princess.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will be available on Wii November 22nd.
