Silicon Knights Sacks 75% of Staff

With X-Men Destiny disappointing many reviewers and not becoming the world's most profitable video game ever, it seems like the development staff at Silicon Knights are taking the brunt of the hurt.

Reports are coming in that the developer behind Too Human and Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem has laid off 75 out of it's 97 count staff. The last great thing the developer did was a remake of Metal Gear Solid. When is Silicon Knights going to turn it around?

All things considered, this is actually expected. Working with Activision, it's a sure bet that the developer hired a lot of contract developers to complete X-Men Destiny. With those contracts up it makes sense for Silicon Knights to cut staff back to a maintainable number.

We'll be sure to update with any further details coming from the developer.
