Best Publisher 2011

Ubisoft

Notable Games of 2011:

  • Assassin's Creed: Revelations
  • Rayman: Origins
  • Just Dance 3
  • Outland
  • From Dust
  • Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes

How do you measure the strength of a publisher in this industry? Some rely on a single title to drive their entire business. Many consistently slash employees from their payroll after projects have finished. I would argue that the best publisher is the company with the best portfolio of games throughout the year.

Ubisoft certainly fits the bill. Downloadable titles likes From Dust and Outland surprised us earlier this year while Just Dance 3 continued its dominance in the casual market. Fan favorites like MIght & Magic continued while blockbusters like Assassin's Creed: Revelations maintained quality and entertainment value. Even a risky title like Rayman Origins surprised us all with its charm, dedication to old-school design, and odd release date. Look no further for the best publisher in 2011.
