Sony Registers PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Domain

A Sony version of Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. series has been beaten like a dead horse the past few months, but new evidence shows that the rumors were true all along.

The team over at PlayStation LifeStyle have uncovered a domain registration for a PlayStationAllsTarsBattleRoyale.com. The best part? It was registered by Sony Computer Entertainment America making it about as legitimate as they come. Below are the full details from DomainTools.com:

Sony has a lot of characters in its library, from God of War's Kratos to Twisted Metal's Sweet Tooth. This new game, which will probably be just called PASBR since its name is so damn long, should have no problem earning itself an identity.

The biggest questions posed are what gameplay style will it have and who is developing it? It could go the arcade route of Super Smash Bros. or toss in some quality RPG elements like Dissidia did. As far as developer goes something inside of me says it's Media Molecule because after all, they did say they wanted to break away from LittleBigPlanet for a while and a game like PASBR could benefit greatly from their cheerful visual approach.

Stay tuned for an official announcement, which should be sometime between now and the first day of E3.
