Crytek Assure Console Gamers That Their R&D Team Is Brilliant

PC gamers have been excited the past week after Crytek revealed a large list of graphical features for Crysis 3. It's almost beginning to look like the lead-up to the original Crysis… but what does that mean for the console crowd?

Crytek spoke to CVG recently and shared that they know consoles like no other developer on the planet. Director of Creative Development, Rasmus Højengaard, said:

Obviously we're limited by things such as memory, but we have brilliant R&D guys and they're able to do things that no-one has done on consoles before.

Memory shmemory!

Crytek have shown that they are serious when it comes to graphics, and I don't think anybody is really surprised. However, the real question is just how well the story and gameplay variety fare in Crysis 3. The original Crysis was able to deliver some quality moments supported by its massive island environment, but Crysis 2 was considered a step-back in many regards.

The console version of Crysis 3 will utilize T2x, a new anti-aliasing method made in-house by Crytek. Nothing has been shown of it publicly, but with an alias like T2x it must be good.
