Lee Perry Leaves Epic to Start BitMonster Games, First Title Dubbed Lili

Former Gears of War 3 gameplay designer Lee Perry has left Epic Games to start up his own development studio called BitMonster Games. Their first game is titled Lili and will be releasing for the iOS platform. Judging by the few screens and the teaser trailer (below) that the developer just released, this is a very different game for Mr. Perry.

No chainsaw-equipped guns here. Just an innocent little girl prancing around a tropical paradise. Honestly, I don't know if you could stray farther from Gears than this. The game is said to be an adventure RPG hybrid of some sort and will run on Epic's Unreal Engine 3.

As such, it's clear that Perry's relationship with Epic will remain strong despite his recent departure. "Epic has been extremely supportive of our new studio and in helping us build the game of our dreams," Perry said. Aww, how sweet.

There's currently no release date set for Lili, and as you can tell, specific details on this mobile title are few and far between right now, so be sure to stay tuned to GameRevolution for future updates.
