Halo 4 To Feature The Flood, Mechs And More

Remember the "Infection" multiplayer gametype seen in prior Halo titles? Well it's back in Halo 4, only this time reskinned and rebranded as "Flood". 343i has confirmed that yes, those pesky infectious creatures will be making a return in their upcoming title, but only in this multiplayer mode. The gametype supports a total of ten players, with two starting off as infected while the remaining eight strive to fend of the plague.

But that's not all the Halo-centric news we have for you today, as two new vehicles have been revealed. The first is the Mammoth, which, as the name implies, is a massive troop carrier. The second is a two-legged mech that looks an awful lot like a Metal Gear. Liquid Snake must be so proud.

In addition, 343i's Frank O'Connor has confirmed that the game is officially complete. Hooray! Now please let me play it.
