The Beyond Good and Evil 2 trailer shown at today’s Ubisoft E3 2018 conference shows just how impressive this project is. We can’t wait to cruise through space in this sequel to the cult classic Beyond Good and Evil.
One of the big attractions of Beyond Good and Evil 2 is a new marketing campaign. Ubisoft is working with Joseph Gordon Levitt’s company HitRecord to allow fan submissions of music and art for the game. This is all being fascilitated through Ubisoft’s Space Monkeys community program.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 places players in the role of a custom space pirate as they forge their story through the stars. You’ll be able to navigate between planets in your own starship and you can jump out at any point to board enemy ships or hover around with your jetpack.
This game is a prequel that takes place before the original Beyond Good and Evil. Jade is featured in the game as shown in the above trailer, though her exact role in the game hasn’t been revealed yet.
We only got to see a little bit of gameplay at E3, but it’s already looking to be a game jam-packed with exploration and travel. If development proceeds how it seems to be going now it might be one of the games to blow us away in the near future.
