PlayStation Plus Hits PS Vita Next Week, Brings Instant Game Collection

Sony had announced that PlayStation Plus was coming to the PS Vita back at E3, but never spoke a word of it again until just last week. As Sony promised, the news is finally here, and PlayStation Plus will be available on PS Vita as of November 19th.

PS Vita owners will need to update their system's firmware to v2.00, which will enable the new feature, allowing access to a wealth of savings, including the "Instant Game Collection" that's been so popular on the PS3.

Firmware v2.00 also brings native email support, wireless content management between PC and PS Vita, map buttons to the touchscreen and rear touchpad in PSOne games, and enhanced performance of the PS Vita's web browser.

Not too shabby. Now, if only Sony could actually sell some more PS Vita systems…
