Attack on Titan Season 1

Attack on Titan Season 1 Is Free on PS4

Attack on Titan Season 3 just came out July 22nd, so no doubt anime fans are hyped about the latest season. That said, there are some fans of the revered anime series that have only gotten into it through the video games which is understandable – Attack on Titan 2 was well-received, after all. However now others have the chance to catch up with the latest season, because  Attack on Titan Season 1 is available (for free) on the PS4.

The information comes from Twitter user, Wario64 who recently posted details of the deal being offered up on his Twitter account. As you can see below, it is unfortunately only available for PS4 users in the US, but that shouldn’t give you a reason not to give the anime a watch. After all, it looks as though you’ll even have the chance to watch it in High Definition. What more could you want?

Unfortunately, you’ll have to make the effort to go searching for the season yourself as you’ll need to ‘purchase’ it from your console. It doesn’t take too long at all, but due to the season being in HD we do recommend making some space for the anime if you need it. That said, we’re also not sure how long the season being free will last, so if you’re interested then don’t hesitate and get in on the Attack on Titan action.

Still not sure but want to check it out? The description for the first season (thanks to the PSN store) reads like so:

“When the man-eating giants called Titans first appeared, humans retreated behind massive walls. After a hundred years of safety, a colossal-sized Titan smashes through the defenses, unleashing a flood of giants and carnage in the streets. Eren Jaeger watches helplessly as one of the creatures devours his mother.

He vows to kill every Titan walking the earth.

Eren and his surviving friends enlist to fight against the insatiable monsters. The future looks bleak, but there’s more to Eren than meets the eye: he may be humanity’s last hope against extinction. From the director of Death Note and High School of the Dead comes the series Anime News Network calls “an intense, visceral, and graphic thrill ride.” The Titans have come to feast. Anything can happen. No one is safe.”

Ready to go watch some Titans die? Get going onto the PSN store right away.
