Dead or Alive 6 beta

Dead or Alive 6 beta out now with five fighters to choose from

Surprise! The Dead or Alive 6 beta has appeared practically out of nowhere. Despite a recent announcement that the game was going to be delaying its release, the fine folks at Team Ninja have moved forward with a short beta period for the sixth upcoming game in the Dead or Alive franchise. This beta, though, will only be available for a limited period of time so fans curious about how much the game has changed since its most recent core entry will have a ticking clock to contend with.

The Dead or Alive 6 beta is now live on the PS4. The initial announcement by a Twitter account associated with the game didn’t specify the platform. However, a follow-up tweet clarified that you have to download the beta via the PlayStation Store. As with many betas, only a limited portion of the game’s content will be available for this short testing period. We don’t yet have any word if a similar beta will be making its way to the Xbox One or the PC at a later date.

The download totals 7.77 GB in size and the pool of available characters will be Ayane, Diego, Hayabusa, Hayate, and Kasumi. The first tweet mentions that battles will take place on the DOA Colosseum stage. No other characters or stages have been mentioned, so odds are that’s all you’ll be able to play for this beta test.

This surprise beta for Dead or Alive 6 will be playable on your PS4 from Jan. 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM EST until Jan. 14, 2019 at 10:59 AM EST. In short, you and your buddies will have the whole weekend to see what the next game in the franchise has to offer. Pop on over to the PlayStation Store and pick up the Dead or Alive 6 beta while you can! Dead or Alive 6 will launch on March 1, 2019.
