Bungie On Destiny’s Always-On Internet Requirement: “This Isn’t Our First Rodeo”

Destiny will require a constant internet connection for play, and after witnessing the disaster that was SimCity, many are concerned about Bungie's upcoming "shared-world shooter."

The studio addressed such fears on their site, explaining in a new Mail Sack post:

This isn’t our first rodeo. Bungie is no stranger to anxious mobs of players who rush home after a midnight launch and put our best-laid plans to the test. Since a release date hasn’t even been announced yet, we’ll let our team focus on some less frightening but equally important challenges.

Let's hope that they truly are up to the challenge. After all, Destiny will be launching on more than just one platform.
