Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order will be revealed this week

The long-awaited Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is set to be revealed this week according to an announcement from Electronic Arts. This upcoming game is a brand-new adventure from Respawn Entertainment that will tell a wholly original story set in the Star Wars universe. A sole surviving Padawan escapes the Jedi Purge at the end of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and players will be able to experience his story in an exciting new action-adventure game.

The tweet announcing the first look at Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order states that a livestream will be kicking off on twitch.tv/eastarwars. Those of you fortunate enough to be in Chicago on April 13, 2019, will be able to check it out in person at the Star Wars Celebration Event on the Celebration Stage in the Wintrust Arena.

The announcement had been somewhat snarkily teased by Dice Community manager Ben Walke on his Twitter. Here’s what both attendees and stream viewers can hope to see for the Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order reveal:

Join the head of Respawn Entertainment, Vince Zampella, and Game Director, Stig Asmussen, along with many special guests, to be the first to learn about this holiday’s highly anticipated action adventure game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Hear how Respawn and Lucasfilm collaborated on this original Star Wars story, following a young Padawan’s journey in the Dark Times following Order 66. And of course, we’ll have a few surprises in store.

Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the announcement of this upcoming Star Wars game for now. Games from this blockbuster media franchise have had a somewhat troubled history in recent years rife with controversies, cancellations, and all sorts of other troubles. Fans are hoping that we’ll finally see a return to the glory days of great Star Wars games. We’ll find out whether or not they’re right on Saturday, April 13, 2019. Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is expected to launch in the Holiday season of 2019.
