Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 release date coming this summer

The Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 release date has been announced. This upcoming action role-playing game will see a team of superheroes from the Marvel universe in a quest to retrieve the Infinity Stones. The Ultimate Alliance franchise has been well-beloved by comic book fans around the world and now the next game will be making its way exclusively to the Nintendo Switch.

In Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, players will be able to play as one of more than 20 iconic heroes from the Marvel comics universe. This roster will include favorites from previous games like Deadpool, Wolverine, and Spider-Man. New characters will also be entering the fray this time around, too — Dr. Strange,  Black Panther, and Spider-Gwen will be joining in the battle to retrieve the Infinity Stones before they’re claimed by Thanos and the titular Black Order. We now know that the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 release date is July 19, 2019.

“Teaming up with Nintendo to bring Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order to the Nintendo Switch system elevates the Marvel Ultimate Alliance series to even greater heights,” Marvel Entertainment Executive Vice President Jay Ong said in a press release highlighted by ResetEra. “With the ability to play at home or on the go, solo, co-op and online with friends, Marvel fans can save the world from Thanos and high stakes threats in any way they like, anytime, anywhere.”

Players will be able to conquer the game’s challenges by themselves or with up to four of their friends. The Nintendo Switch is, of course, a portable console and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 will allow you to take the game on the go, although you’ll obviously need additional controllers to accommodate extra players.

The Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 release date is July 19, 2019. You’ll be able to pick it up at retail or digitally via the Nintendo eShop at a price of $59.99 or your regional equivalent.
