All of a sudden, gamers have the chance to win a collectible system that would make Cersei jealous. Microsoft has a special giveaway going in collaboration with HBO, and Game of Thrones fans may want to take notice. With it, fans have the chance to win one of two specially customized Game of Thrones Xbox One consoles to add to their collection.
“In honor of the final season, we are giving fans and gamers alike the opportunity to ascend onto the Iron Throne, a.k.a., to win the ultimate Game of Thrones prize: one of two custom consoles featuring designs inspired by some of the most epic elements in the show – House Targaryen or the Night King,” the company noted in a statement.
There is a rather interesting catch though. These aren’t Xbox One X consoles. Instead, these are the new disc-free Xbox One S All-Digital Edition models. That may bum a few of you out, but all the same, they’ve got a special design.
“The House Targaryen console is covered in leather dragon scales and prominently features the Targaryen crest. The Night King console is affixed with weathered tin metal to replicate his iconic armor. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to game with a truly unique and iconic console.”
To enter, all interested fans need to do is head over to the Xbox Twitter page, look up the reveal post and retweet it with the keywords #GameofThrones and #Sweepstakes for a chance to win. That’s it. It’s going on through May 22, and following that, two random followers will win! Make sure you’re following the Xbox account as well, so they can DM you.
While it’s odd that it isn’t an Xbox One X or in, say, a Tyrion Lannister style, there’s no question these systems are truly unique.
