Assassin’s Creed IV Developer Calls PS4 “A Perfect Jewel”

"We have a perfect jewel in our hands. It's up to us to push the bar and make it shiny." That's Sylvain Trottier, Associate Producer on Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, talking about Sony's next-generation gaming console, PlayStation 4. We are in full hype-mode now, all aboard. Next stop, E3!

It's great to hear these Ubisoft devs gush about the beefy components and intuitive structure in PS4, but I'm really dying to see how it looks in my home, in the real world. These high-level talking points do nothing for core gamers who know what to expect in the lead-up to massive product launches like these.

"The beauty of working with Sony on this console for this generation was the fact that it was built for the game developers and to be really honest, Sony fixed all the issues," Trottier says. Lines like these only exist in pre-release hype, but new hardware and games on the scale of an Assassin's Creed necessitate over-promising of this caliber.

Regardless, this video gives us a look at some PS4 footage of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, and that's why we're here. Wow, clothing looks amazing.
