Livingstone: “Nintendo Should Have Their IP On Every Platform”

Eidos life president Ian Livingstone believes Nintendo should spread the Mario love by bringing its software to other platforms.

"Nintendo should have their IP on every platform," he said at the Bristol Games Hub. "Otherwise a whole generation of young people will miss out on their games."

Livingstone believes that expanding to other platforms will allow Nintendo to strengthen the power of its franchises, but instead the company is using its IP to try and push its own hardware agenda.

Do you think Nintendo should abandon the hardware business and become a third-party publisher, or is the company's wacky and innovative approach to hardware and game design better for gamers and the industry? Let us know in the comments below.
