Microsoft Severely Slashes Surface RT Price In An Effort To Save Its Struggling Hardware

Microsoft has officially discounted the price of the Surface RT all across the globe by a whopping 30%.

It's no secret that the company's tablet has been struggling against the likes of Apple's iPad, so a nice low pricing model has been instituted with the obvious intention of boosting sales. This means that the entry-level Surface RT will now be just $349.99.

Here's the full list of prices for each model:

  • Surface RT 32GB – $349.99
  • Surface RT 64GB – $449.99
  • Surface RT 32GB with Touch Cover – $449.99
  • Surface RT 64GB with Touch Cover – $549.99

Does this major discount have you considering picking one up? Do you think this will be enough to keep the Surface from going extinct? Sound off with you thoughts in the comments below.
