Deadly Premonition 2 coming to the Switch along with the original

Against all odds, Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise does exist and is coming to the Switch. Revealed during the Nintendo Direct, the sequel is heading to the portable console sometime in 2020. It is unclear if it is coming to other systems too. A port of the original is also coming to the platform right now for $30.

The game stars Aaliyah Davis, an FBI agent who opens a serial killer case that also “opens a door to the unknown.” It opens the door to New Orleans 14 years prior where characters will play as the returning Francis York Morgan.

Not much gameplay was shown but the little in the trailer implied a game with a similar loop as the original. However, there also appeared to be a boat segment, which was not in the first one. It is also being “produced by the original creator team,” which sounds like it won’t have all of the creative talent that made the first game. A developer was not listed but Rising Star is publishing.
