HD Collections Announced for Metal Gear Solid, Zone of the Enders, and Silent Hill

Konami has just announced via their live pre-E3 press conference (check out our live blog for more details), that a Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Zone of the Enders HD Collection, and a Silent Hill Collection will be coming to both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Each game will be reworked in HD, with trophies and achievements added.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will feature Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Konami further adds that Peace Walker isn't part of the PSP Remaster series, and is a complete reworking, optimized for consoles.

The PS3 version will feature game save compatibility with the PSP version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, so you can play at home, and pick up your PSP and continue playing on the road.

Zone of the Enders HD Collection will pack in both Zone of the Enders and Zone of the Enders 2.

Silent Hill Collection will feature Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3. No consoles were mentioned for this collection, but it's safe to say that it will be for the PS3 and Xbox 360, much like the other collections.
