Ubisoft Enrolls Gamers In Blacklist 101 To Prepare For Splinter Cell’s Next Mission

With Splinter Cell: Blacklist releasing this month, Ubisoft and Tech Ops Specialist Charlie Cole want to make sure any aspiring Fourth Echelon members have everything they need to combat the Engineers and stop their global reign of terror.

Or you know… just shred some totally gnarly ops. Those are just like huge waves, except in order to surf an op, you have to sneak around and kill people.

Sure, Ironside isn't returning to the role of Sam Fisher, but Blacklist seems more keenly focused on the exciting gameplay that drives Splinter Cell's unique brand of stealth. There's something so thrilling about dropping on an unsuspecting enemy that wasn't exactly absent from Splinter Cell: Conviction, but it didn't seem like it was the star of the show either.

With Co-op and Spies Vs Mercs in tow and the franchise returning to PlayStation (and Wii U without local co-op play), Blacklist looks like the best Splinter Cell yet, but we'll find out soon as the game's August 20th release date is only weeks away.
