Marvel’s Iron Man VR delay pushes release date to May

Marvel’s Iron Man VR has been delayed, with the game’s release date pushed back to May 15. This follows the delay of several other high-profile games, including Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers.

Iron Man VR was previously penciled in for a 2019 release, before it was pushed back to February 28, 2020. However, the game has now been delayed once again, with it now launching on May 15 for the PS4’s PlayStation VR.

“In order to deliver on our vision and meet the high expectations of our amazing community, we’ve made the difficult decision to move Marvel’s Iron Man VR to a May 15, 2020 release,” developer Camouflaj said in a tweet. “We truly appreciate your patience and understanding. You’ll be hearing from us again soon!”

2020 is shaping up to be the year of delays. In this week alone, we’ve learned that Final Fantasy 7 RemakeCyberpunk 2077, and Marvel’s Avengers have all received hefty delays, being pushed back later into the year.

Marvel’s Iron Man VR was shaping up very nicely when we previewed the game back in April 2019, so hopefully this extra development time is used to give it an extra layer of polish.
