Around 160,000 Nintendo Switch accounts have been breached, potentially putting customers at risk for unauthorized purchases and other problems. The good news is that you won’t have to worry about any nefarious Nintendo eShop purchases — Nintendo has got you covered.
Recently, there have been some concerns about a potential breach of Nintendo Switch user accounts. A statement on Nintendo’s UK website has some of the details regarding the breach.
What is Nintendo’s response to the 160,000 breached Nintendo Switch accounts?
- Logging into a Nintendo Account with a Nintendo Network ID is now discontinued.
- Anyone whose account is suspected to have been compromised will be notified to reset their password.
For now, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to set a new password for your Nintendo account and set up two-factor authentication.
