Reckful World of Warcraft NPC debuts as tribute to late Twitch streamer

Reckful World of Warcraft NPC has been added to the game as a Rogue Trainer by Blizzard Entertainment. This new addition to World of Warcraft: Shadowlands marks the second NPC tribute that Twitch streamer Byron “Reckful” Bernstein has received to date.

Most Rogue NPCs in Shadowlands are located in Old Town, but the Reckful World of Warcraft NPC can be found somewhere else: the Cathedral of Light. As Wowhead reports, the Cathedral of Light was the site where many fans got together to honor his memory after he passed away at the age of 31.

This new NPC serves as a Rogue Trainer but it also has some unique dialogue. The NPC says, “I don’t train Assassination Rogues,” highlighting the fact that Reckful had previously eschewed the Assassination Rogue meta in the past to prove that he didn’t need to play a meta build to be one of the best players in the world. Players can close out the dialogue by clicking on, “It was good seeing you again.”

Reckful has been previously immortalized as the NPC Byron Burnside, a Trade Goods vendor in Tiragarde Sound; while the new NPC is named after his in-game name, his first NPC was named after his legal name.

Players can visit the Reckful World of Warcraft NPC by heading to Old Town in Stormwind. You’ll be able to see this NPC tribute and plenty more new content when World of Warcraft: Shadowlands launches later this year.
