Animal Crossing September 2020 update acorn

Animal Crossing: New Horizons September update brings fall, acorns, and pine cones

The Animal Crossing September 2020 update has arrived, officially changing the season to fall and debuting brand-new items! Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can now get acornspine cones, and new fish and bugs!

We come to the end of summer by saying goodbye to those lovely blue Summer Shells. They’ll now be replaced with two seasonal tree nuts. Players can get acorns by shaking hardwood trees and pine cones by shaking cedar trees, both of which are used in new seasonal crafting items.

A new month also means new bugs and fish to catch! The Animal Crossing September 2020 update features the Cricket and Monarch Butterfly for bugs and the Salmon for fish. Divers can also snap up oysters in the ocean.

Unfortunately, this month’s update doesn’t quite have any new major features like the introduction of diving or fireworks shows. Hopefully, we’ll be getting some fun new content to enjoy for October’s update. If you haven’t yet picked up this great Nintendo Switch game, you can buy a physical copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Amazon for $10 cheaper than a digital code on Amazon.
