Assassin’s Creed IV DLC To Reportedly Feature Playable Blackbeard [Update: Ubisoft Confirms, Launching Today]

[Update] Ubisoft has officially announced the previously rumored Blackbeard's Wrath multiplayer DLC for Assassin's Creed IV. It will be available for download today, across PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, for $2.99.

[Original] According to a leaked trophy list, it appears Blackbeard will be a playable character in upcoming multiplayer downloadable content for Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag.

The DLC pack is allegedly titled Blackbeard's Wrath and features playable characters The Orchid, The Jaguar, and the aforementioned Blackbeard. However, since this multiplayer add-on has not yet been confirmed by Ubisoft, we can't say anything is for certain just yet. That said, we can expect to hear more from Ubi about its DLC plans very soon.

How have you been liking Assassin's Creed IV thus far? Are you engaged in the multiplayer, or do you only play the AC games for the single-player? Let us know in the comments below.
