Sony Patent Reveals Revamped Move Controller

Sony has filed a patent for a redesigned Move controller that adds a touch pad to its goofy wand peripheral.

It's described as being a "flat joystick controller," providing the precision of a joystick over a flat surface. Sounds an awful lot like DualShock 4's touch pad, doesn't it? Check out a concept image of it below.

The patent was filed back in the summer of last year, and Sony files patents all the time, so it's entirely likely we'll never see it come to fruition. That said, it does seem like a logical move (no pun intended) for Sony if they plan on supporting motion controls going forward.
