Call of Duty Vanguard Dead Drop Glitch

Call of Duty: Vanguard Dead Drop exploit gives infinite killstreaks

Once they’ve hit level 48, CoD: Vanguard players can use the Dead Drop field upgrade. This piece of equipment is intended to save the killstreak that players are on so that they can continue the streak even through death. It seems intended for new players, as a way to achieve some of the higher killstreak rewards, but more capable players are exploiting it to continually blast the map with powerful streaks. Here’s how players are doing the Call of Duty: Vanguard Dead Drop glitch.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Dead Drop Glitch: How players are getting infinite killstreaks

  1. Equip the Dead Drop field upgrade.
  2. Enter a match and activate the Dead Drop.
  3. Get enough kills to achieve your final killstreak.
  4. Die and notice how you are one kill away from that final killstreak.
  5. Put the Dead Drop down again.
  6. Get one more kill to earn the final killstreak.
  7. Repeat the process to earn unlimited killstreaks.

Players are following the above steps to get infinite killstreaks using the Dead Drop field upgrade. At the time of writing, developer Sledgehammer Games doesn’t seem to have acknowledged the problem. It’s not yet known if there is a fix being worked on.

With the Vanguard Dead Drop glitch, players are able to get infinite Dogs, Local Informants, Flamenauts, and other high killstreaks with ease. It needs fixing for the sake of other players’ enjoyment.

Here’s hoping Sledgehammer Games tracks down the issue and rolls out a fix sooner rather than later!
