Rumor: inFamous: Second Son Has Online Multiplayer [Update: Sucker Punch Debunks]

[Update]: InFamous: Second Son's brand development director, Ken Schramm, confirmed to UDN that the upcoming PS4-exclusive won't feature a multiplayer mode. The game was designed to be a solo experience, and that's the way it will stay.

[Original] It appears that online multiplayer may be included in the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive from Sucker Punch, inFamous: Second Son

According to the official Japanese website for the game, online play will be supported. Check out the screenshot taken from the webpage below.

It's in Japanese, but DualShockers has translated it. "The highlighted part, “オンライン:対応,” means "Online: Supported." Games that don’t have a multiplayer feature like Knack don’t include that mention," the outlet explains. "The number of players is listed as "1," but that’s not really relevant as often that part refers only to the single player mode. Killzone: Shadow Fall has the same label, and it definitely supports online multiplayer."
