[Update: PS3 Version Coming?] The Order: 1886 Won’t Have a Multiplayer Mode

[Update] Ready at Dawn's Andrea Pessino has commented on the possibility of a PlayStation 3 version of The Order in an interview with Play3.de, saying that the studio is certainly not ruling it out.

"We currently work exclusively on the PS4 version. Games are always designed for cross-platforms, but clearly, if there is a possibility to take over the physics system to other platforms, we would use this," he said.

Would you be interested in a PlayStation 3 version, or is it time for developers to completely shift their focus to the new generation of hardware?

[Original] Ready at Dawn, the development studio behind the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order: 1886, has confirmed that its highly-anticipated third-person action game won't have a multiplayer component.

Studio founder Andrea Pessino confirmed the news on Twitter.

Are you pleased to hear The Order: 1886 will be single-player only? It's rare today that a big budget title like this would ship without some sort of tacked-on multiplayer, so I find it quite refreshing.
