Respawn Confirms Titanfall Season Pass, DLC, Pricing [Update]

[Update] Respawn has provided pricing details on Titanfall's additional content. Players can purchase the season pass for $25, which will get them access to all three DLC packs. You'll save $5 this way, as each individual pack will be priced at $10.

The studio confirmed that each pack will include new maps, but didn't divulge what other sorts of content may or may not be included in each piece of DLC. I vote for more weapons!

[Original] Electronic Arts is confident that Titanfall "will be a franchise that's around for a long, long time" and as such, you can bet that Respawn Entertainment will be pumping out fresh content for the game well after its release next week.

In fact, studio head Vince Zampella just confirmed to GameSpot that a season pass will be available, as they're planning to release both free and paid DLC.

We're going to do paid DLC, we're also going to do free updates. There are things that we want in the game that we didn't get to ship in the final game. So we'll add private matches and things like that for free. There will be some paid DLC. We're going to do a season pass just because if you buy it up front, it's a deal. We're not going to do microtransactions. So a season pass is just buy it up front, and you get a better price.

Titanfall launches next week on March 11th for Xbox One and PC. You can get it two weeks later on the 25th for Xbox 360.
