Microsoft: Xbox One External Storage Support “Coming Soon”

Xbox One will finally be getting an update that allows the use of external hard drives, Xbox Live's Major Nelson has confirmed.

"External game storage is coming soon….I need to check on media support," the Microsoft spokesman wrote on Reddit.

Seeing as how you can't swap out the internal hard drive without voiding the warranty, support for external hard drives really can't come soon enough. 500GB may seem like a lot of space, but thanks to the increasing size of games these days, that much space won't get you very far.

Have you already run out of room on your Xbox One hard drive?
