Doom Beta Not Coming to PS3, Xbox 360

The previously announced Doom beta will only be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Bethesda has confirmed.

The publisher revealed this in a FAQ, noting that those who pre-order Wolfenstein: The New Order on either Xbox 360 or Xbox One will get a code for the Xbox One version of the beta. Likewise, those who pre-purchase the game for PlayStation 3 or PS4 will get a PS4 code.

The only way to currently get in on the Doom beta is by pre-ordering MachineGames' upcoming shooter, so if you want an early look at what's next for the iconic franchise from id Software, you'll have to pony up the cash for the new Wolfenstein.

Wolfenstein: The New Order launches on May 20th.
