Dark Souls II PC Reportedly Delayed [Update: UK Delay Confirmed]

[Update] Bandai Namco has confirmed the the boxed PC version of Dark Souls II has been delayed for those in the UK due to manufacturing issues. Other regions will not be affected.

The publisher released the following statement to Eurogamer:

This is only affecting the UK on the boxed release of the game. It will be delayed unfortunately and we apologize to UK customers. This is due to a manufacturing issue with packaging. To confirm this will only affect the UK boxed launch.

[Original] The PC version of Dark Souls II has been delayed, according to online retailers.

NeoGAF users are reporting that Amazon UK is alerting customers who pre-ordered the game that it will release a week later than its expected April 25th launch date, and ShopTo is listing it as delayed as well. As such, it appears the game won't be available on PC until May 2nd.

Bandai Namco has yet to comment on whether or not the game has been delayed, so don't flip out just yet. That said, the evidence suggesting a May release is difficult to ignore. Stay tuned to GameRevolution for any and all updates regarding Dark Souls II's PC release.
