Titanfall and the Respawn Entertainment team hit PAX East with a new map dubbed Expedition, but Steve Fukuda, Game Director, has updated fans who couldn't make it to the conference in Boston.
With a season pass available for Titanfall at launch, many fans have probably been scratching their heads as to what will come next. Fukuda said that the team at Respawn Entertainment "are transitioning from making the game to supporting it" and that he wants to improve the team's "update tempo".
On that note, Titanfall developers will "tend the garden and keep the weeds out" meaning balancing tweaks and maintaining the core of the game are at the forefront of the developer's efforts.
There will also be a number of "convenience features" added to the game (for example, Respawn Entertainment want to give you the option of renaming custom loadouts) in addition to "infrastructural features" like the recently released Private Match update.
While that all sounds a little boring in light of Titanfall's main objective (blowing everything up), Respawn will also add new Burn Cards and Titan "Nose Art" insignias so players can further customize their appearance and moment-to-moment weapon sets. The Expedition map pack will go on sale in May and, aside from maps, all updates to Titanfall will be free of charge.
Have you given up previous shooter alliances to become absorbed in the world of Titanfall?
