Mario Kart 8 Wii U Bundle Coming? [Update: Confirmed for Europe]

[Update] Nintendo has confirmed that a Mario Kart 8 Wii U console bundle is coming to Europe. It'll be available when the game launches on May 30th. It'll retail for £249.99 and include a hard copy of the game.

There's currently no word on a bundle for North America, but I'm sure we'll here more from Nintendo of America in this front very soon.

[Original] It looks like Nintendo may be preparing to launch a Wii U bundle that includes a copy of its highly-anticipated racing game, Mario Kart 8.

Gameblog got its hands on a packshot of the alleged console bundle, which has been embedded below for your viewing pleasure.

Eurogamer reached out to Nintendo following the leak, but the company (unsurprisingly) said it doesn't currently have anything to announce.

That said, I think it's safe to say a Mario Kart 8 console bundle is basically an inevitability, especially given the current state of Wii U and the sheer popularity of Nintendo's racing franchise. After all, this could prove to be the first true killer app for the Big N's struggling gaming machine.
