PS Vita Was Last Week’s Top-Selling Hardware in Japan

Last week's Media Create hardware sales for Japan have been released, and it looks like PlayStation Vita is picking up steam, as Sony's handheld gaming machine came out on top.

Trailing behind PS Vita in second place was 3DS LL, with PlayStation 4 rounding out the top three. Check out the full list below.

  1. PlayStation Vita – 24,078 (25,017)
  2. 3DS LL – 17,291 (22,947)
  3. PlayStation 4 – 13,034 (13,401)
  4. PlayStation 3 – 7,305 (10,871)
  5. 3DS – 6,271 (9,091)
  6. Wii U – 5,512 (7,962)
  7. PSP – 2,027 (2,892)
  8. PlayStation Vita TV – 1,220 (1,371)
  9. Xbox 360 – 229 (276)

However, if you take into account both the LL and standard 3DS models, Nintendo's handheld is technically the best-selling device. Still, this doesn't negate the significant uptick in Vita sales.
