WildStar Getting “The Strain” Content Patch on June 30

Carbine Studios is following through with its promise for continuous content on its flagship title WildStar with the first update called The Strain, which comes with more solo content, gear, decor, costumes, mounts, and a new zone. In a statement to GameRevolution, it will also update and "drastically altered" existing areas (the Northern Wilds will change into the Northern Wastes) due to "something horrible living beneath the surface of planet Nexus."

The new zone called Blighthaven will contain the Cankertube swamp and "the gastrointestinal terrors of the Globellum" with a tower-defense group event entitled Guardians of the Grove. A new dungeon designed for group content named The Nursery will challenge players to defeat Elyona the Mad.

Carbine Studios will roll out more information on The Strain until its release on June 30 with more location info on June 24 and item info on June 26.

[If you're wondering about the review, I'm still getting through it in between pre-E3 madness, E3 madness, and post-E3 madness. Not sure if anyone of you (in addition to NecroWolf) are playing WildStar, but we should group and conquer all of the things. If you're interested, you can leave your WildStar info in the comments.]
