Naughty Dog Targeting 1080p 60fps for Uncharted 4

If Naughty Dog can pull it off, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will run in 1080p at 60 frames-per-second, as the studio has confirmed that it will be aiming for this benchmark with all of the games it develops for PlayStation 4.

"I think that's what we want to push for with anything we're doing on this generation," Naughty Dog's Arne Meyer told Eurogamer. "That's sort of the mandate from when we were building the PS4 engine. Let's see if we can do this and hit it. We hit it with The Last of Us Remastered, so why not stick with this?"

When asked about the possibility of an Uncharted collection for PS4, Meyer replied by saying that it's very much a possibility. After all, Sony Worldwide Studios exec Shuhei Yoshida would like to see it happen.

I personally think it would work well, because there's a lot of attention on the studio between the success of Uncharted 2, 3 and The Last of Us. It'd be nice to give players the opportunity to go back and play the older games, and people who are new to the PlayStation platform. I think that'd be great – but I have no idea how that could fall into our timeline.

We'll have to see. You know, I'd like to see it, and Shu [Yoshida] would like to see it too.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is expected to launch sometime in 2015. Keep those fingers crossed in the hopes that it doesn't get delayed!
