New Silent Hill Coming From Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro

Metal Gear Solid mastermind Hideo Kojima and legendary filmmaker Guillermo del Toro are teaming up to make a new entry in Konami's iconic survival horror franchise. It's called Silent Hills and apparently stars actor Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead fame.

During Sony's gamescom press conference, a video for something called "P.T." was shown along with the news that it was available for download today on the PlayStation Store. Interestingly enough, it looks like it was all just one big tease for Silent Hills, as the conclusion of the demo has proven to basically just be an announcement for Konami's new horror game.

See for yourself in the video below.

This isn't the first time Mr. Kojima has trolled the gaming public with a crazy and misleading game announcement, and I'm guessing it probably won't be the last.
