Fortnite Teases GTA-like Wanted System Where You Pay to Reduce Heat

Fortnite‘s latest 23.30 Dragon Ball-themed changes have allowed popular leakers to uncover some exciting information about future updates, which may include a crime-based “Wanted System” similar to Grand Theft Auto. This follows the return of the Nimbus Cloud and the addition of a Tactical Pistol Mythic that players are already calling broken.

Everything we know about the Fortnite Wanted System

The information was originally uncovered by leakers HYPEX and iFireMonkey on Twitter, showing off a newly added in-game poster in both English and with a Spanish alternative. HYPEX states that Epic Games are working on a “Wanted System” whereby players seemingly gain “Heat” and can pay gold to reduce it.

There’s plenty of speculation hovering about, but the poster itself does look to be teasing a new heist attire skin, meaning we could see a crime-themed update or quests coming in the future.

The GTA-like “Heat” system poses a serious interest too, as there are plenty of ways Epic could incorporate it, perhaps a bounty system could be introduced offering rewards for eliminating high-heat players.

Either way, it looks like an exciting time ahead as Fortnite continues to evolve and incorporate more gameplay twists, including a data-mined First Person Mode that could be coming soon.
