metroid prime 4 preorder leaked on best buy

Metroid Prime 4 Pre-order Is Live on Best Buy Before Nintendo Direct

Metroid Prime 4 is available to pre-order on Best Buy hours before today’s Nintendo Direct. Four years after development was restarted on the long-awaited game, it looks like it’ll soon be in our hands.

Metroid Prime 4 could be released this year

This isn’t the first time Metroid Prime 4 has appeared on Best Buy. In 2020, a listing appeared on the Canadian best Buy website with a release date of December 30, 2020. However, the $100 price tag raised eyebrows; sure enough, the date came and went without fanfare.

Today’s listing is a lot more realistic. A $59.99 price tag is what we would expect Metroid Prime 4 to sell, and it would be reasonable to see an accidental listing a few hours ahead of the official announcement. A listing also appeared on Amazon today with no price but a release date of December 31, 2023. However, this date is likely a placeholder.

You can complete the pre-order process through Best Buy, but there’s still no release date. If you place your order now, Best Buy will email you when it’s ready for shipping or pickup.

Despite reports that Nintendo is skipping E3 2023 due to fewer Switch releases, today’s Nintendo Direct is shaping up to be full of long-awaited games. Alongside Metroid Prime 4, we expect one of the biggest announcements to be the release date for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
