Xbox Series X|S Expansion Card Price Cut Announced

Seagate Xbox Series X|S Expansion Card Price Cut Announced

Microsoft announced on Friday that its Seagate Xbox Series X|S Expansion Cards for the Xbox Series X|S consoles have received a permanent price cut, dropping their costs significantly.

How much are the Xbox Series X|S Expansion Cards?

In a tweet sent out by Xbox, the company revealed that the three currently available cards — with 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB options available — are now available for the lower price of $89.99, $149.99, and $279.99, respectively.

This takes the cards down to more affordable prices and slightly more in line with other expansion cards on the market, which was a big critique of the original prices from players.

The drop in price totals out to $50 off the 512GB and 1TB options and $80 off the 2TB card. The move comes as rumors begin to circulate that Western Digital, a competitor to Seagate, is also working on its own storage cards for the Xbox Series X|S consoles.

Previously, Seagate was the only option for Xbox Series X|S expansion cards on the newer Xbox consoles, being semi-proprietary.
