Amiibo Figures Available for Pre-Order

The Amiibo figurines, one of the hot-ticket items Nintendo has lined for the holiday season, are now available for pre-order from various retailers, including Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, and Amazon. All of them are meant to be tied to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U as most are available on the same day as the game's release on November 21.

Some of the figurines, however, are slated for a December 31 release which is likely a placeholder. So far, Link, Marth, Mario, Villager, Kirby, Samus, Pikachu, Fox, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Donkey Kong, and Wii Fit Trainer has been confirmed for the November 21 release. The others—Diddy Kong, Luigi, Captain Falcon, Little Mac, Pit, and Zeldahave been held to the December 31 release.

Each Amiibo figure cost $12.99 and will eventually become compatible for other Nintendo titles like Mario Kart 8, Mario Part 10, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, and Yoshi's Woolly World. Amiibo characters can be leveled up in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and then be brought to a friend's copy while retaining its stats.
