Xbox One Screenshot Feature Coming Next Year

The long-awaited screenshot feature will not be hitting Xbox One this year, Xbox exec Phil Spencer has confirmed.

In an interview with IGN, the Head of Xbox revealed the unfortunate news that gamers will have to wait until 2015 before they can enjoy taking screenshots of their favorite gameplay moments. "As we come back into the new year, we'll see new stuff, and screenshots is on the list," he said.

"It's a little more technically challenging than I thought," Spencer added. "Two weeks ago, they think they've found a good solution for screenshots. They're working on it. They know people want it. The team has a path to getting it done, and now it's just prioritizing."

Is the addition of a screenshot feature really important to you? I can't imagine I'll make much use of it, but I'm sure there are plenty of others out there in the Xbox community that could do some awfully cool stuff with this added functionality.
