Star Wars: Battlefront Releasing Holiday 2015, Will Be First-Person

Electronic Arts has just announced that Star Wars: Battlefront, the highly anticipated sci-fi shooter from the folks over at DICE, will be launching during the holiday 2015 season.

In addition to revealing its release window, the publisher confirmed that the title will be a first-person shooter, squashing any suspicion that it would use a third-person perspective.

With Battlefield Hardline coming early 2015, Star Wars: Battlefront coming holiday 2015, and the next proper Battlefield slated for launch before 2016 comes to a close, EA will "have a major first-person shooter title each year," the publisher noted during today's earnings call.

Are you excited to see that so many shooters will be coming from EA over the next couple of years? I must admit, I'm quite psyched for Battlefront, but as for the other two, I can't say I'm all that enthused.
