Mass Effect Will Get New Races, Halo 4 Writer Enlisted By Bioware

Mass Effect fans were given new details regarding the future of the franchise on new-generation consoles like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, in addition to PC, though fans will also want to know that Bioware has added development staff, including one scribe from 343 Industries.

Developers speaking during the N7 Roundtable as broadcast on Twitch said that exploration will remain a key piece of the franchise and that they hope players will still be engaged by the sense of discovery. The Mako all-terrain vehicle will return and choice also continues to define the franchise.

Additionally, Bioware has hired Halo 4 writer Chris Schlerf to help development of the next project in the Mass Effect universe. "Every day is a revelation and every day I get to play in a new corner of the universe. To be able to look three steps ahead to, 'Where does this take us and how does it add to the way we look at the Mass Effect trilogy?' You couldn't ask for a better playground."

For more from Chris and additional N7 Day details, be sure to check Bioware's website.
