Uncharted Movie Script Polished By Oscar-Winning Screenwriter

The screenplay for the film adaptation of Uncharted has been edited by screenwriter Mark Boal, reports The Hollywood Reporter. That may sound like bad news as far as the script is concerned, but in a certain light, at least this means that the movie is on route to be completed.

If you haven't heard the name Mark Boal before, you may have heard of the movies he's responsible for penning, including Zero Dark Thirty and The Hurt Locker, the latter of which he received an Academy Award. He certainly has the chops to deliver on the drama, so hopefully he and the original screenwriter for the film, David Guggenheim, will be able to capture Drake's humor.

According to director Seth Gordon, filming of the movie will begin early 2015 and the film is slated for June 2016.
