Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime is confident going up against Sony and Microsoft this holiday season. In fact, the NoA boss believes the company's tablet-centric console offers a better value to consumers than PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
"The good news, for us, is that we're presenting the best value right now in new home consoles," Fils-Aime told The Wall Street Journal. "$299, includes two games; it's a compelling proposition for consumers this holiday." Comparatively speaking, Microsoft has discounted the price of Xbox One to $349 for the holiday season, so technically Wii U is the cheapest "new-gen" console on the market.
"For us the message is simple," he added. "You want to play these great games, you want to have these fantastic experiences, you have to upgrade to the Wii U.
Will you be picking up a Wii U this holiday season? I still want to see more of that upcoming Wii U Zelda game before I take the plunge.
